This chapter introduces Vertibid and the two products it provides. Read it once before you begin; it explains why some menu items open a Subscription required notice and why the rest of this documentation is split by product.
Vertibid is Compatio's platform for turning the documents your customers send you into priced responses. Both products follow the same shape: a document comes in, Vertibid reads its line items and matches them against your catalog, you review and price the result, and you issue it. What comes in and what goes out differ: Tender turns a bill of quantities into a filled response workbook for the tender issuer; Quotes turns a request for quotation into a priced quotation for your customer.
In this chapter
A1.1 What Vertibid is — the two products and what each does.
A1.2 Two products, one workspace — how your subscription decides what you see, and what happens when you open a page for a product you do not have.
Who uses Vertibid
-
Estimators and bid managers work tenders: they upload the bill of quantities, review the matches and fill the response.
-
Sales and quoting teams work quotes: they start from a customer's request, price the lines and send the quotation.
-
Administrators keep the shared modules in order: the product catalog, the customer list, price lists, templates and integrations.
