Part C — Quotes

Part C covers the Quotes product: building priced quotes for your customers and issuing them. You start a quote from a customer's request for quotation or from nothing, Vertibid matches the requested items to your product catalog, you price the lines from your manufacturer price lists, and you produce and send the quotation.

This part applies to organizations with a Quotes subscription. If your organization has Tender only, see Part B — Tender.

In this part

C1 Quote concepts — what a quote is, how versions work, the stages a quote moves through, and what to set up first.

C2 My quotes — the quotes list, starting a quote, the builder, documents, pricing, match review, activity, sending, and versioning.

C3 Templates — quote templates (pricing engine, columns, outputs) and document templates (branding, region).

C4 Manufacturer price lists — uploading manufacturers' files and controlling which costs quotes use.

C5 Quote known limitations — what Quotes does not do in this release, and what to do instead.

Where Quotes lives in the left navigation

The Quotes group holds My quotes and Templates. Manufacturer price lists sits under Pricing. The shared modules Quotes relies on — Products, Customers and Settings — are documented in Part A — Shared.

The quote flow in one line

Start a quote → Vertibid extracts and matches the line items → you review the matches and build the quote → you price it → you send it → you record the outcome, and version it if the customer wants changes. See C1.2 How the quote flow works.
