C1.2 How the quote flow works

A quote moves through six stages from creation to outcome. The table maps each stage to the page where you do the work and the status the quote shows.

You create the quote from a customer's request for quotation or from nothing, and choose the customer and the quote template.

To revise a quote after issuing it, create a new version; see C1.1 Quote versions.

A distributor emails an RFQ on Monday. You start a quote from it; by the time it opens, its lines are extracted and matching. You approve the matches and price the lines on Tuesday, send the quotation on Wednesday, and mark it Accepted when the order arrives.
