The Input Documents tab on a quote holds the customer documents the quote was built from, and the documents Vertibid has generated from it. The tab's badge is the number of source documents. Once a quote has been sent and locked, the tab is read-only: you can download but not add or delete.
Source documents
The request for quotation or item list uploaded when the quote was started, and any added since. Each document offers Download and Delete; deleting asks "Delete source document?"
Generated documents
The documents Vertibid has produced from this quote, such as the quotation PDF.
To add another document to a quote
Before you begin
-
The quote is not locked.
-
The document is a PDF, Excel (.xlsx) or Word (.docx) file.
Procedure
-
On the quote, select the Input Documents tab.
-
Select Add document and choose the file.
The document is listed under Source documents, its line items are extracted and matched, and the new lines appear on the Material Match tab for review alongside the existing ones. See C2.6 Reviewing material matches.
A customer sends a second spreadsheet with the electrical items left off their first RFQ. Adding it here extracts those lines into the same quote without disturbing the lines already reviewed.
