This chapter covers the Manufacturer price lists page — the costs your quotes price from. Open it from Pricing > Manufacturer price lists in the left navigation. As the page says: "Upload a manufacturer's own file, map its columns, and the costs flow into costing automatically." A list feeds costs into quotes only while it is Live.
Price lists were designed for Quotes. If your organization also has Tender, the same lists are available there.

How price lists reach a quote

A manufacturer sends you a price file — Excel, CSV or PDF.

You upload it. Vertibid works out which columns hold the supplier code and the unit cost, and you confirm.

Vertibid matches each row to a product in your catalog and stores the cost against it.

You turn the list Live.

When a quote line is priced, its cost is looked up by manufacturer and catalogue reference across all live lists. See C2.5 Pricing your quote.
Keeping costs current
When a manufacturer issues new prices, upload the new file as a new list, check its matched rows, turn it Live and take the old list offline. A list that is not live keeps its costs but is ignored when quotes are priced.
