The Filters panel narrows the Products page further than a category or a search will. Open it with Filter, at the right of the search box on Catalog > Products. The panel opens on the right; its sections are described below in the order they appear.
Show only
Two toggles that restrict the catalog to products with certain data.

With image — when on, only products that have a product image are shown.

Has price — when on, only products with a price against them are shown.
Both are off by default.
Manufacturer
A checkbox list of the manufacturers in your catalog, each with the number of products it has. Select one or more manufacturers to show only their products. Search manufacturers… finds a manufacturer in a long list.
To filter the catalog
Procedure

In the left navigation, select Catalog > Products.

Select Filter.

Under Show only, turn on With image or Has price as needed.

Under Manufacturer, select the manufacturers you want.

Select Apply.
The products that match appear, and the material count beneath the heading shows how many. To remove every filter and return to the full catalog, open the panel again and select Clear.
To check which of a manufacturer's products can be quoted from stored costs, select the manufacturer, turn on Has price, and select Apply.
