Working a tender has two parts: reviewing the matches Vertibid proposed for each line item, and filling the response workbook the issuer asked for. Both start from the tender page, which opens when you select a tender on the Tenders page.
The tender page
The tender page shows the tender's title, stage and documents, and leads to its two working areas: the match workbench and the response workbook. While you are inside a tender, the top bar shows the tender's name.
The match workbench
The match workbench lists each requirement from the bill of quantities with the product Vertibid matched it to and the confidence of the match. Selecting a requirement opens its detail: the customer's wording, the matched product and the alternatives. From the detail you accept the match or replace it. See B1.3 Material matching.
The response workbook wizard
The response workbook wizard fills the issuer's own workbook with your matched products and prices. A stepper across the top shows the six steps.
|
Step |
What you do |
|---|---|
|
Structure |
Confirm how Vertibid has read the workbook: which sheets and columns hold the requirements and where the answers go. |
|
Cells |
Review the cells Vertibid will fill. |
|
Fill plan |
Check what will be written where. |
|
Business inputs |
Supply the values only you know, such as prices and terms. |
|
Review |
See the filled workbook. The Bid Assistant panel is a chat: describe a change in plain words and it makes the correction, or edit the detected table directly. |
|
Complete |
Download the filled workbook. |
You can leave the wizard and return; each session is listed on the tender's workbook page.

To fill the response workbook
Before you begin
-
You have reviewed the matches.
-
You have the prices and terms the issuer asks for.
Procedure
-
On the tender page, open the response workbook and start a session.
-
On Structure, confirm the sheets and columns Vertibid has detected.
-
On Cells and Fill plan, check what will be filled where.
-
On Business inputs, enter your prices and terms.
-
On Review, check the filled workbook. To change something, describe the change to the Bid Assistant or edit the detected table directly.
