Quote templates is the first gallery on the Templates page — "Engine method, profitability, waterfall, column visibility and output artefacts." Open it from Quotes > Templates in the left navigation. A quote template decides how a quote prices, which columns and tabs it has, and which documents it produces. Every quote is created from one and keeps that template's settings for life, even if the template is edited later.
What a card shows

The template's name and version — for example Master Template v3. Saving the template raises its version.

Chips for the settings it carries: the pricing method (Margin or Markup), Profitability on or Profitability off, Waterfall when waterfall costing is on, the outputs it produces (Compliance, Submittal), and its currency (AED, GBP …).

When it was last updated.

Edit — opens the quote template editor; see C3.2.

Duplicate — makes a copy to start from.

Bin icon — deletes the template after you confirm.

New quote template — the dashed tile; starts a template from scratch.
Effect on existing quotes
Editing or deleting a template does not change quotes already created from it; each quote froze the template's settings at creation. A quote whose template has since been deleted shows Deleted template where the template name would be.
If your organization has no quote templates, the gallery reads Quote templates are unavailable and a quote cannot be created until one exists.
To duplicate a quote template
Procedure

In the left navigation, select Quotes > Templates.

On the template's card, select Duplicate.

On the copy's card, select Edit, rename it and adjust its settings, then select Save template.
The copy appears as its own card at v1.
A UK team quoting on markup and a UAE team quoting on margin in AED keep two templates — UK trade — markup and UAE projects — margin — so that the Quote template list in the New quote dialog shows "Markup · GBP" and "Margin · AED · Waterfall".
