C3.5 Branding a quotation

The Template editor for a document template sets how the quotation PDF looks. Open it with Edit on a document template's card, or with New PDF quotation, on Quotes > Templates. The settings are in cards down the left; a Live preview on the right shows a sample quotation updating as you change them. Save template and Discard are at the top right.

Basics

  • Name — the template's name, shown on its card and in the New quote dialog.

  • Description — optional.

Branding

"Accent drives the document header rule and the total band."

  • Accent color — eight preset swatches, plus a hex field for an exact color such as #0f766e. "Pick a preset, or set the customer's exact brand color with the picker or hex code." Default: #52525b.

  • Logo — a PNG, JPG or SVG image, shown at the top left of the quotation. Optional. "Drop a logo image, or click to browse."

Region

Language and Number format; see C3.6 Region formatting.

Live preview

The preview shows the quotation as it will print: the logo and header rule, QUOTATION, the QUOTE TO block, Valid until, Payment terms and Delivery, the item grid (ITEM, QTY, UNIT PRICE, AMOUNT), Subtotal, and the Total band in the accent color.

To brand a quotation

Before you begin

  • You have the brand color as a hex code and the logo as a PNG, JPG or SVG file.

Procedure

  1. In the left navigation, select Quotes > Templates.

  2. On the document template's card, select Edit.

  3. Under Branding, select an Accent color preset, or enter the hex code in the field.

  4. Under Logo, drop the image or select the area to browse for it.

  5. Check the Live preview.

  6. Select Save template.

Every quote that prints through the template shows the new logo, header rule and total band. To remove a logo, clear it in the same field.
