C3.4 The document templates gallery

Document templates is the second gallery on the Templates page — "Branding, sections, content defaults and the embedded price list for PDF quotations." Open it from Quotes > Templates in the left navigation. A document template controls how the quotation PDF looks: logo, accent color, language and number format. Every quote prints through one.

What a card shows

  • The template's name.

  • How many quotes use it — for example Used by 10 quotes.

  • When it was last updated.

One template is the default; it is preselected in the New quote dialog.

Card actions

  • Edit — opens the template editor; see C3.5 and C3.6.

  • Duplicate — makes a copy.

  • Bin icon — deletes the template after you confirm.

  • New PDF quotation — the dashed tile; starts a template from scratch.

Locked tiles

Two further document types are shown but marked Coming soon · part of the outputs pack: Compliance statement and Technical submittal. Their layout is not editable here; whether a quote produces them is set on its quote template. See C3.3 and C5.3.

If no document template exists, a quote can still be created — the New quote dialog reads "No PDF quotation templates yet — create one under Templates" — but it cannot be printed until one does.

To create a document template for a second brand

Procedure

  1. In the left navigation, select Quotes > Templates.

  2. In the document templates gallery, select Duplicate on the existing template.

  3. On the copy, select Edit, rename it, replace the logo and accent color, and select Save template.

The new template appears as its own card. When starting a quote for the second brand, select it in the PDF quotation field of the New quote dialog.
